• 1.Prop the Boot Fully Open: Raise the rear hatch to its maximum height. Ensure your assistant or prop tool holds the full weight securely before touching the old struts.
• 2.Pry the Top Retaining Clip: Locate the metal band spring clip on the upper ball socket of the old boot shock. Insert a small flathead screwdriver underneath, pry outward slightly, and pull the socket off the ball stud.
• 3.Disconnect the Bottom Joint: Repeat the exact same prying process on the lower ball socket, then completely slide the worn-out boot strut off the vehicle.
